Shortly after, the police department called us, instructing us to shelter in place, go to the basement, and stay there,Skog recalled.

Dylan Foline, another resident in the neighborhood, expressed his shock at the incident, especially upon discovering that a family was barricaded in their home during the shooting.

It’s a tragic event, and now I have to find a way to explain this to my daughter. The thought of those children is what really gets to me, and my heart goes out to the families of the responders,Foline stated.

The street remained closed off all Sunday, accessible only to law enforcement and homeowners.
